Dr. Mohd Ismail Noor is an Emeritus Professor in Nutrition, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. His major research interest includes energy requirements, obesity, nutritional status of selected population groups. He was the Founding Secretary, Asia-Oceania Association for the study of Obesity AOASO (1998-2002), President AOASO (2014-2018) and Secretary, International Association for the Study of Obesity IASO (2010-2014) He was President Malaysian Association for the Study on Obesity (1996-2021). For his contributions in the field of Nutrition, he was awarded, Fellow, International Union of Nutritional Sciences, FIUNS (2005) Fellow, Academy of Sciences Malaysia, FASc (2006), Emeritus Professor in Nutrition from UKM (2014) and Foreign Correspondent, French Academy of Medicine, France (2017).
