Dr. Wilfred is a Research Officer at the Institute for Health Systems Research, Ministry of Health Malaysia. His work focuses on obesity, nutrition policy, and health systems research, with an emphasis on population-level prevention and public health service delivery.
He has experience in evidence synthesis, qualitative and mixed-methods research, and supporting the translation of research findings into policy and programme planning. His academic interests include dietary patterns, obesity prevention, men’s health, and cross-sector collaboration in health care.
Dr. Wilfred also has teaching experience as a guest lecturer at Universiti Malaya (UM), Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Management and Science University (MSU), and has delivered invited lectures on school nutrition policy and health behaviour models. He is involved in peer review and academic service, and supports MASO’s efforts to promote evidence-based approaches to obesity prevention and management in Malaysia.
